Durable identification for machinery, tools, electronics, field equipment and tracked assets, built around surface, environment, service life and data requirements.
Philiton manufactures custom equipment asset labels from Shenzhen and Dongguan, China.
Material choice should follow the asset surface, operating environment, print method and required service life. The ranges below are standard planning references from Philiton’s product system.
| Material / Construction | Typical Thickness | Strongest Fit | Key Engineering Notes |
| White PET | 50–100 μm | Machinery, tools, electronics, industrial assets | Strong dimensional stability; permanent, high-tack, high-temperature and low-surface-energy adhesive options can be evaluated |
| Clear PET | 50–100 μm | Electronics, transparent housings, clear technical identification | White ink can create contrast; usually paired with permanent industrial adhesive |
| Vinyl / PVC | 80–150 μm | Equipment decals, curved surfaces, outdoor identification | Flexible, available in white or clear constructions; durability depends on film grade, ink and laminate |
| Outdoor Durable PET / PVC | 80–150 μm | Field equipment, vehicles, toolboxes, outdoor machinery | UV-resistant ink and protective laminate can improve weather and abrasion resistance |
| Thermal Transfer PET / PP | 70–120 μm | Asset tracking, warehouse equipment, manufacturing traceability | Fixed graphics can be preprinted; variable data can be added with compatible ribbon and printer settings |
Philiton links resistance requirements to actual failure risks, then selects material, ink, adhesive and protection around the conditions that matter for the equipment.
| Operating Condition | Main Label Risk | Philiton Engineering Direction |
|---|---|---|
| Abrasion and repeated handling | Lost text, damaged barcode, scratched surface | Durable PET, resistant print route and protective lamination where needed; verify after representative rubbing or handling |
| Water, humidity and washdown | Edge lift, ink damage, liner or adhesive failure | Film-based face material, permanent adhesive and water-resistant print protection; application surface must be clean and dry unless a special process is defined |
| Oil, alcohol and cleaners | Ink attack, softening, adhesive contamination | PET or other resistant film with compatible ink/laminate; test against the actual fluid or a defined representative exposure |
| Outdoor UV and weather | Fading, brittleness, edge failure | Outdoor PET/PVC, UV-resistant printing and protective laminate; expected life depends on climate, orientation and substrate |
| Temperature cycling | Adhesive loss, shrinkage, lifting | Typical white PET systems can cover about -40°C to 120°C; outdoor durable constructions commonly cover about -30°C to 90°C; final limits depend on the selected material |
| Removal or tampering | Unauthorized transfer, label replacement | VOID, destructible or other security structures tested on the actual equipment surface and required evidence pattern |
Timing starts after artwork, material and process requirements are clear. Special adhesives, security structures, RFID and unusual testing can extend the standard planning range.
| Stage | Typical Philiton Planning Range | Main Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| Digital artwork / print sample | About 1–3 business days | Fixed artwork, standard material and digital route confirmed |
| Standard printed / finished sample | About 3–5 business days | Common material, printing, die cutting and normal finishing confirmed |
| Complex finishing sample | About 5–7 business days | Foil, screen work, special die cutting or specialty material may add preparation |
| RFID / security / custom-structure sample | About 5–10 business days | Inlay, encoding, tamper structure or specialty material confirmed per project |
| Standard production | About 7–15 business days after approval | Approved sample/artwork, material availability, quantity and converting plan confirmed |
| Typical starting quantity | Around 500–1,000 pcs for many durable PET programs | Exact MOQ varies by material, adhesive, tooling and process; RFID/security projects are quoted separately |
Philiton was founded in 2016 and operates manufacturing in Shenzhen and Dongguan, China. The combined manufacturing system exceeds 12,000 ㎡ and covers artwork/prepress, digital and conventional printing, flexographic printing, screen and UV processes, variable data, specialty finishing, die cutting, slitting/rewinding, inspection, testing and packing. Base labelstocks and specialty materials are sourced from qualified external suppliers according to project requirements. The manufacturing value comes from material selection, prepress, printing, converting, verification and production control rather than claiming in-house production of every raw material.
Philiton can quote more accurately when the project starts with the equipment conditions rather than only a label size. Share the information already available, even if the material or adhesive has not been selected. Our team can review the surface, environment, data structure, printing route and packing format before recommending the next sampling step. For many standard custom label programs, quantities can begin around 500 pieces; special PET, security and RFID structures are confirmed according to actual material and process minimums. Standard printed or finished samples commonly take about 3–5 business days after artwork, material and process details are confirmed, while complex structures can require additional preparation. Photos of the equipment, a sample panel or a current failed label can help identify adhesion and durability risks earlier. For variable-data work, sending a short Excel or CSV sample also lets Philiton review code length, numbering logic and layout before the complete data set is released. Roll requirements should be included when labels will run through a printer, dispenser or automatic applicator.
